Why this degree
What this degree is for
Four reasons people enrol.
One of them will sound like you.
One of them will sound like you.
Move from IT into AI
You already write code or run systems. Twelve months converts that foundation into the specialisation employers are actively bidding for, without leaving your job, and with a qualification that travels wherever you do.
Get past the ceiling
Senior AI and machine learning roles increasingly use a master’s as a screening filter. A UK MSc clears it, and puts a governance vocabulary behind your technical work at exactly the moment regulators start asking for one.
Graduate with a portfolio
Six taught modules and a supervised dissertation project. You leave with systems you built and can walk an interviewer through, line by line. That is the part of the interview a transcript cannot do for you.
Study in Asia’s AI hub, work anywhere
Face-to-face classes in central Singapore, one of Asia’s leading AI hubs, where finance, healthcare and supply chain companies are building AI teams right now.
The awarding university
Kingston University, London
This is not an EGA certificate with a British name on it. It is Kingston University’s own MSc, taught to the university’s curriculum, quality-assured by Kingston University, London, and awarded on a certificate identical to the one issued on its London campus.
A public research university in south-west London, founded in 1899, with campuses at Penrhyn Road, Kingston Hill, Knights Park and Roehampton Vale.

The programme
7 Modules. 3 Stages.
12 Months.
What you will actually be able to do. The programme moves in one direction: from writing code, to building specialist systems, to proving you can deploy them responsibly.
01
Build the foundation
Stage one · 3 modules
The engineering habits everything after this depends on: clean code, reproducible pipelines, data at scale.
- Applied Data ProgrammingProduction-grade Python and reproducible pipelines
- Big Data and Data MiningWorking with data too large for one machine
- Ethics and Regulation of Artificial IntelligenceBias auditing, explainability and compliance, including the EU AI Act and its equivalents
02
Specialise
Stage two · 3 modules
Three specialisations, each mapping to a job title that exists and is being recruited for today.
- Machine Learning and Deep LearningTrain, tune and evaluate models that hold up
- Computer VisionSystems that read images and video
- Cyber Security and Artificial Intelligence ApplicationsDetect threats with AI, and defend AI from attack
03
Prove it
Stage three · 1 module
The part that separates a graduate from a certificate holder: one full AI system you built end to end.
- Project DissertationOne full AI system, supervised, on a problem you choose
Curriculum awarded and quality-assured by Kingston University, London. Full module descriptors are included in the brochure.
The market
The market you graduate into
Employers are not short of applicants. They are short of people who can build, and for the first time that shortage is the largest one on earth.

AI-skilled roles are growing eight times faster than everything else
PwC tracked more than a billion job advertisements across 27 countries and six continents. Postings that ask for specific AI skills are multiplying at a rate the rest of the labour market is nowhere near.

What the benchmark role pays, in the first two years
Published 2026 ranges for an entry-level machine learning engineer (0 to 2 years). Bars share one scale, converted to US dollars for comparison; labels show the figures in the local currency employers actually quote.

Nominal pay only: cost of living differs sharply between these markets, and a rupee salary does not buy what a dollar salary buys, or the reverse.
