Diploma In Accounting And Finance
The Diploma in Accounting and Finance is designed to provide the theoretical and practical perspective of the accounting field to enable candidates make an effective contribution to an organisation and would study a range of 8 subjects from, Financial Accounting, Cost Accounting, Fundamental of Economics, Fundamental of Management, Business Statistics, Principles of Finance, Digital Finance and Introduction to Accounting Software.
Understand and apply basic financial accounting concepts and principles, including recording, classifying, and reporting financial transactions and preparing financial statements (such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements).
Explain the fundamental concepts of microeconomics and macroeconomics, including supply and demand, consumer behavior, market structures, national income accounting, and monetary and fiscal policies.
Describe and compare the major management theories and frameworks, including scientific management, behavioral management, contingency theory, and situational leadership, and evaluate their relevance to contemporary management practices.
Calculate and interpret descriptive statistics, such as measures of central tendency and variability, using real-world datasets and statistical software packages like Excel or SPSS.
Explain the time value of money and the key principles of finance, including risk and return, diversification, and the efficient market hypothesis, and apply these concepts to investment decisions and portfolio management.
Examine the use of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning/ Robotic Process Automation to create efficiencies and effectiveness in the organisation
Identify and describe the main features and functions of popular accounting software programs, such as QuickBooks, Xero, and Sage and compare their capabilities and benefits.

Age Requirements: 17 years old and above.
Academic Requirements: At least 2 passes at GCE ‘A’ level; or Year 12 High School; or Relevant Diploma from another local polytechnic or PEIs Pathway Programme; or Educare Global Academy Foundation Course programme; or Mature Candidates who are atleast 30 years of age with 8 years of working experience.
Language Proficiency: Minimum of Band 6.0 IELTS; or PTE Academic score 46.0; or Doulingo English Test 95-100; or TOEFL iBT score of 60; or Letter from College/University clearly stating the Medium of Instruction of the highest qualification to be English; or C6 pass in English GCE ‘O’ level; or equivalent.
Mode of Delivery
Mode of Delivery: The Diploma programme consists of 8 modules and may be completed after 8 months of lessons. Lessons will commence 5 days a week for a maximum of 3 hours per day with a total of 416 learning hours.
Assessment Method: Written Exams, Practical Assessments/Presentations and Projects.
Graduation Requirements: Minimum of 50% pass in all modules.

Upon the successful completion, students will be awarded the Diploma in Accounting and Finance from Educare Global Academy.
Diploma graduates can continue on to the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Finance.
